The L45 is the culmination of a decades-long mission to get the very best twin-blade performance into the restricted space dictated by the size and shape of a Strat pickup.

By combining low inductance with very fine custom-made magnet wire and a high-precision, alnico-charged magnetic circuit the L45 avoids the pitfalls of previous small twin blade designs. There is no flimsy open coil construction, no clunky "rail" look, no fall-off in output on either "E" string, no almost no limit to the tonal possibilities available with simple amp adjustments. Unlike traditional single-coils the stage ready L45 impose virtually no cable length restrictions-- with low capacitance cable, you can use lengths in excess of thirty feet with no sacrifice in performance, and even a '60's style "coily cord" presents no problem.
